Her collection – Inner Battles
“As a tangled dark heart resides, a new movement stirs… Whether to feel soft nouveau or have a mind deco strict? Nouveau’s nature reigns as a being’s ever ebb remains unknown to a natural self…”
This collection encompasses pieces that are inspired by two dominant influential styles: art nouveau and art deco. Each style’s contrast in line is what interests Paula. This collection was further inspired by an inner battle experienced from love. The inert tension experienced by love can be described as an inner battle between one’s mind and heart.
“This collection displays acrylic that has been hand sculpted in a style that connects it to the nouveau style of being free-form in nature. The silver rings have black and white cubic zirconia gems and in shape and form relate to the art deco period. The art of making acrylic pieces is more emotive while the silver pieces are more logical in approach. I find an inner balance between their workings.”
