Her collection – Floating Figures

Floating Figures is a collection inspired by the substance water and jellyfish. It flows along with every shape it touches, has a substance, but you can’t grab it.

“That was, to me, the most fascinating, the idea to make garments that have the same liquid look and feel as water or jelly. It’s an experiment with shapes, silhouettes, draping and fabrics. Wet looking, ‘liquid’ fabrics, soft folds and drapes, subtle changes in colour, a wide silhouette that allows the garments to move and wave in motion.”

“Working with fine silks I create my own and unique fabrics and with them a distinct silhouette and beautiful, interesting garments, Something smooth, something folded and draped in one, but not overworked. Something soft can turn into something hard, a matt surface can change into something shiny, wet looking even, folds and drapes can create a totally new texture, ‘Floating Figures.’”
