His collection – UN:
The collection is an expression of traditional bondage and the powerlessness associated with the unpredictability of life’s fortunes.
“Women, since the days of Adam and Eve, have been regarded as subordinate in both Eastern and Western society. Women were suffering from various tortures to fulfil their social expectations. For instance, in the old days, Chinese women were forced to bind their feet and Western women wore breathe-restricting corsets. Nowadays, modern women also struggle to maintain perfect body shapes and beauty. Women are strongly chained by the concepts of ‘trend and beauty.’”
“Humans can work hard for their futures but no one can change their fortune. Accident and illness are something beyond our control. These matters bring different degrees of curse and torture to the victim and their relatives, either mentally or physically,”
“In the 2010 Fall/Winter collection, I deliberately tried to retrieve the idea of the virus and toxicity, the traditional tortured beauty, and transformed the disease into something visual by creating various outfits in #D forms and textures.”
